Calling SuspendItem() and registering for the ItemSuspended() event will give you the most portability.
Please note that the SEAC 2200 does not support suspending the item unless you are running in the slowest mode (Compatibility Mode - see the SeacOptions.ini file). In the faster modes you have 400 milliseconds to make a pocket decision else the scanner acts weird. The most common symptom is that the scanner will report a jam when there is no jam. In reality it is a "too late to pocket" condition. This type of limitation is typically found on high-speed sorters. However, some older SEAC models have this limitation as well.
