I am getting an unhandled exception of type 'System.InvalidOperationException' occurred in BareBones.exe" in Visual Studio 2013 with a Visual Basic App. How can I correct this issue?
This error occurs when trying to run one of our test apps from the SDK website with Visual Studio 2013 Express.

To resolve this issue, go into the properties of the project by right clicking on the project in the Solution Explorer.

Under the Application menu, change the Target framework: to .NET Framework 4.0. A prompt will appear:

Click "Yes" and your project will reload with the correct .NET Framework selected. You should now be able to run your test app without issue.
