Where are the Ranger configuration files locationed on Windows?

Ranger configuration file names include:

   * "GenericOptions.ini"
   * "[Driver]Options.ini" (CR180Options.ini, MVXOptions.ini, etc.)
   * "TransportInfo.ini"

Filepath for Configuration files:

Ranger config files are found here:
   
   "C:\ProgramData\Silver Bullet Technology\Ranger\Scanner Plug-ins\[scanner model name]"
   
It may be prudent to zip and send the entire folder containing the *.ini files.


Filepaths for Ranger versions < 4.0

Prior to the Windows Vista compatibility Ranger changes, the Ranger config files existed in the same folder as the Ranger.ocx file.

As part of the Vista compatibility Ranger changes, the Ranger configuration files were relocated to conform to MS intentions. New default locations for the .ini files are as follows:

   Windows Vista & Windows 7

       "C:\ProgramData\Silver Bullet Technology\Ranger\[scanner model name]"

   Windows 2000 and Windows XP

       "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Silver Bullet Technology\Ranger\[scanner model name]"


Note:

The 'ProgramData' folder may be hidden. You can either allow hidden folders, or access 'ProgramData' directly by searching the location:

       "%programdata%\Silver Bullet Technology\Ranger\[scanner model name]"
